SURFACE PREPARATION
Sand the surface with rather coarse and sharp sandpaper (n. 80 – 100) or sandblast it. Do not use worn out sand paper or metallic brushes, as they would polish the metallic surface rather than forming fine engravings, necessary for a good adhesion. If needed, remove grease or oil stains using our SOLVENT 102 ANTISILICONE. This must be done before sanding the surface. Then remove dust with a dry rag or with a brush. Never use water or solvents after sanding the surface, otherwise adhesion may be impaired.

BRONZE OR STAINLESS STEEL PROPELLERS AND PARTS
Apply one coat of METAL PRIMER and then after minimum 3 hours apply two-three light coats VELOX PLUS waiting at least 3 hours from each other. It is normal to see the green of the METAL PRIMER after the first coat. Full coverage will be reached with the second coat. Do not apply VELOX PLUS on bare metal or on other antifoulings. Wait at least 24 hours before launching.

ALUMINIUM OR LIGHT ALLOY PROPELLERS AND PARTS
On new aluminium or light alloy parts that are already varnished (with the original factory finish), degrease and sand with fine sandpaper; it is then suggested to apply one coat of METAL PRIMER to improve adhesion and finally two or three coats of VELOX PLUS. Starting from bare aluminium, it is strongly suggested to apply three coats of PRIMEPOX first, then a coat of METAL PRIMER and finally two-three coats of VELOX PLUS.
