SILICONE FOUL-RELEASE ANTIFOULING
MARLIN Yacht Paints presents a new range of biocide-free silicone products, which keep underwater surfaces clean thanks to the surface tension of the silicone itself and special surface additives that make fouling extremely difficult to attach to treated surfaces, causing them to come off with the movement of the boat or with soft cleaning.
The new range, developed through a research project with the collaboration of universities, researchers and cutting-edge laboratories, is totally free from biocides and substances of very high concern (SVHC), which can be dangerous for the environment and health of the operator. This make the use of these products much less problematic for shipyards, providing a viable alternative to products containing carcinogenic or very high concern substances which, according to REACH and other EU regulations, have a lot of limitations and prescriptions in order to be used.
MARLIN Yacht Paints in fact pays particular attention to the environment and the health of the operator, and its research is always aimed at developing innovative products with low environmental impact and with the lowest possible content of dangerous substances.
